Acacia Point Capital has expanded its Portuguese team with the appointment of a further 3 experienced property professionals and 1 marketing and digital transformation lead. Having established a presence in Portugal in Q1 2018, Acacia Point’s Portuguese business has grown to 13 office buildings, an office-to-hotel redevelopment project in Cais de Sodre and a 75-apartment residential development project on the beach in Costa da Caparica.

Luis Antunes, Managing Director of Acacia Point Capital in Portugal said “The Portuguese property market continues to strengthen and there are compelling value-add investment opportunities in the office, hotel and residential sectors. New acquisitions are underway, which we anticipate closing in early 2020. To bolster our well-established Investment and Asset Management capabilities, we have recently in-housed Property Management services in order to deliver a higher calibre, all-encompassing range of competencies for our Capital Partners”.

The new hires have a collective experience of 85 years: Maria do Carmo Paias – Senior Asset Manager, André Inocêncio – Head of Property Management, Alexandra Silva – Property Management Executive and Patricia Brito Henriques – Asset Management and Marketing Executive. The new personnel are based at Acacia Point’s office at the Quinta da Fonte Office Park, where they manage the majority of its 22 office buildings.

Quinta da Fonte is benefitting from a focussed on-site team that is swiftly implementing a vigorous repositioning strategy, including establishment of additional parking facilities, new restaurants and amenities and a cosmetic refurbishment of buildings, landscaping and common areas. During 2019 Quinta da Fonte has attracted many new globally-recognised corporate occupiers and is now approaching full occupancy.
